My toddler has a big blister on his lower left leg. Should I pop it?

Question:
The blister is where he either got bite or stung by something. I don't know if I should pop it or not. If any parents know, please help.

Answers:
Of course!

Other Answers:
no dont pop it just go to the doctor to make it pop it may cause infection if you pop it alone
well take him to the doctor see what he says then pop it
Don't pop it! The skin of the blister is protecting the new skin underneath. If that skin is broken, bacteria can get in and lead to infection. put a bandaid with neosporin on it over the blister and it will eventually go away.

I've never heard of a blister from a bit or sting, I think that should be looked at by a doctor. When you pop blisters, you can open him up to some infection if not kept clean.
i use to get blisters on my ears my mother would take a needle heat it up with a flame and just poke it that way the needle is not dirty and after it is drained clean it up with proxide and cover it

if you want check webmd.com
Don't pop it, the liquid inside the blister is really like a natural medicine that helps the blister heal. If you pop it, you have a higher chance of getting a ca-lice there
no, let the doctor see it , or try warm compresses as warm as the toodler can handle it for 20min. through the day.then put a band-aid on it, incase it drains so nothing will else will get into it.
I am an alternative medicinal therapist and an ex nurse and you should never pop any blisters, it is liable to become infected. The fluid inside it is 'body fluid' Apply and ice pack if it was caused by a heat burn. Either way keep it covered with a soft pad it will go down by itself. The fluid will be re absorbed back into the body. The problem you will have after it has gone down will be stretched skin, don't pick that either.
