How can you tell if a mole is/can be cancerous?

Question:
What signs do you look for?

Answers:
A doctor would truly be able to tell you if it is suspicious. But he would actually have to do a biopsy to determine if it is cancerous or pre-cancerous cells. One sign though is itchy.... is the mole itchy. Moles are the worst, because they become melanoma and is the worst cancer. Have checked if in doubt.

You should check for irregualrity in color, and shape. The mole should be symetrical and the edges smooth. The best thing is to have your moles checked by a dermatologist at least once a year, if they find anything they will take a biopsy to eliminate any worries. Make sure to wear sun block all the time!!
If it turns black .
I heard if it changes in size, shape or color, you should check with your doctor or clinic.
Growth, If it grows or seems to be growing.
Bleeding, if it starts to bleed at even minor impact.
Irregular texture and color.
Any change.

A normal mole is static smooth and has a consistent color.
If there is any changes in the color or the size. read this link this may help.
If the mole has recently changed or grown, you go to a doctor to get it checked out. Medical insurance might pay to have it removed. In Canada, MSP paid for me to have a mole removed from my face because it had to be analyzed in a lab for cancer just in case. It's a simple operation with local anaesthesia.
