Hypnotherapy?

Question:
I am a massive believer as it cured me of a flying phobia. However, I was asked recently when you aren't allowed to have hypnotherapy. (I know that it is not recommended for people with enduring mental health problems for example.)

What about people with a history of heart problems? Is there any dangers in relaxing deeply?

(And I will recommend the person checks it out with their GP first!)

Answers:
I am also a great believer in hypnotherapy, it cured me of a terrible phobia of wasps, and also taught me how to relax and be generally more even tempered and able to cop with stressful situations. THIS IS MY PERSONAL OPINION, CHECK WITH YOUR GP, but, I believe that hypnotherapy would be beneficial as stress raises your blood pressure and therefore increasese that heart rate and effort. Hypnotherapy and associated relaxation techniques should allow you to remain calm and maintain an even heart rate and blood pressure. I get the impression from your question that you are worried that the very slow heart rate you acheive during hypnosis might be dangerous - personally, I doubt it, but you really should ask your GP as this would depend on what the heart condition actually is.

Ask these guys for specifics!
Yeah I know it worked for me with a moth phobia and fear of outdoors. some doctors don't belive in it so asking a gp might not get you the right answer ask the hypnoptheripist they know who's safe and who's not.
