I am nauseous and tired all the time, what do I do?

Question:
I called my doctor to make an appointment, but the first available one is in August. I'm not throwing up or losing significant weight, but I am miserable. Any suggestions on assuaging my symptoms until I can get looked at?

have you taken a pregnancy test? are u pregnant?

go to the doctor?!

Sounds like liver disease.

take some vitamins and Ca.try to sleep more.. Rent some DVDs and buy popcorn.

Take your mind off things for a few hours.

If your stomach is sick you can try some chewable GRAVOL from the drug store (you usually don't need a perscription)

could you be pregnant? Call another doctor. Symptoms like that should be looked at ASAP.

Eat well, sleep well. Be happy- it helps!!

sounds pregnant 2 me

Maybe some over the counter meds for nausea. I don't know them off hand but you take it to feel less nauseated Could you possibly be pregnant?!?!

pepto bismal.i think thats how it's spelled

I'm not a mind reader, but common-sense tells me U R ill.
Hassle 4 an earlier appointment as soon as poss.
Huh?

call you Dr everyday until you get an earlier appointment.you might have a tumor in the brain(I hope not) damn HMO's good luck and get moving! Go get a ATC (across the counter) pregnancy test. That's how I felt when I first became pregnant.

When I was pregnant I was extremely tired and nauseous. If you are female and active I would have a pregnancy test. Obviously, you plan to see your Dr. but you could do this prior to your long wait. Best of Luck!

sound like a baby there i would go to the ER you will find out faster

You might be pregnant but for now until you can get to the Doctor, try and rest as much as you can. Eat lots of crackers and soup, try chicken broth, and drink ginger ale or anything with ginger in it. Also, lay on your RIGHT side!! I swear by this. It always works for me and my girls!! Oh, and try and stay out of the heat! If it persists or gets worse, go to the hospital. They can help!! Good luck and e-mail me if you have any more questions for me or you want to talk more with me. Also, I just noticed you took a pregnancy test already..it doesn't mean you are NOT pregnant! It could have been a false reading or too soon to tell. So do not eliminate that possibility just yet! uh not to trivialize something possibly serious
but
you sound dehydrated
hold the fingers of one hand flat
pinch the skin of the knuckles with thumb and forfinger of other hand (opposite direction of skin folds)
if the skin stays peaked
you need water
headaches will stop and energy will return

Well, it definitely sounds like there's something to be concerned about. Bug the hell out of your doc and try to get an earlier appointment. And if the medical assistants give you a problem, tell them that just because they got some "degree" from one of those trade schools that advertise on daytime television doesn't give them the right to treat a patient like crap!

No offense to any medical assistants or nurses who take their job very seriously though. Your work is always appreciated.
