drugs for excessive phlegm in the throat?

Question:
am really tired of this problem. the phlegm hangs there in the throat and it takes a lot of energy sapping effort to try to clear it. also anytime i eat it gets released and i have to excuse myself to throw it out. sometimes because of loss of energy after the effort i lose my appetite.

Answers:
There's an over the counter medication you can take that helps to thin the mucous membranes throughout the entire body, and helps to make coughing that unplesant stuff up, a bit less of a challenge.

This medication is called Guaifenesin. You can buy it in the pharmacy section of your local grocery store under the brand name "Mucinex." It's about $10.00 for about 30 tablets -- (two tablets twice daily) or you can order it from http://www.prohealth.com (that's where I order mine) for 100 tabs of 200mg guaifenesin for about 13.00.

an increase in your water intake may also help to clear that stuff up, a bit.

Some of the reasons for excessive phlegm in the throat are food allergies, throat infections, sinus or lung problems.

Medicated Lozenges for sore throats are generally taken as a temporary source of relief.

It is always better to consult a doctor / registered medical practitioner to root out the problem.
