Will I start feeling better soon?

Question:
Yesterday I was hit by a car. Before the car hit me, I put my hand on the hood thinking it would stop. I was hit on the upper portion of my thigh on the side. Now, my back hurts pretty bad and my shoulder is aching. I went to the er and they gave me two prescriptions. However, its not working! I have been using a heating pad as the dr recommended. I tried to go to the dr today to get checked out and was turned away because i do not have insurance and they could not contact the person that hit me insurance company. I dont know what to do and I am feeling really bad. What do you recommend I do?

Answers:
After any injury you almost always feel worse the next day. And it is possible that you will continue to feel worse for 2-3 days, after which you will start to heal and feel better. Heating pad was a bad idea, the correct treatment is rest, ice and probably ibuprofen. After three days pass if it continues to be a problem, see a chiropractor.
