I've seen people use oatmeal during Chicken Pox but sorry, I don't know first hand. (uncooked but soaked in water)
camamile lotion you will get it at any chemist or drug stall if you are in the states just dab it on it really does help
Well, I can't confirm any of these myself,as I just had to suffer through chicken pox, but in my years as a paramedic, I've come along a fair number of people who have used benedryl with success. Not sure that an anti-histamine is really effective for this, but it's at least worth a shot. You could also try giving Tylenol, if for nothing else than a pain relieving and placebo effect. During the medieval era, oatmeal was discovered to soothe the sores, and oatmeal baths are today still commonly given to relieve itching.
try an antihistamine you know for hay fever this alleviates the Itch.
My kids had chicken pox a few months ago, there is a fantastic lotion and also available in a cream, specially for chicken pox..The lotion is best as you can pour it into your hand and smooth it all over them, my kids loved it if I blew on it to cool it and dry it. I am sorry I don't remember the name but if you go to any chemist and ask them or look on the shelves you'll see it. Also I bought Medised it is like calpol but has an anti histamine in it, its like magic.
rub on lots of calamine lotion and take an antihistamine tablet go to the docs
a tube of cream from chemist called eurax will stop any itching fast and will keep working for about 8/10 hours
calamine lotion is best for chicken pox. Don't let them scratch. I will leave scars.
Depends on her age but pirriten might help ask at your pharmacist You must get her some Cotton gloves because it she scratches the spots off it will leave a scar. Anything that will help ONE spot will sting like mad, you can tolerate one 'sting' but not lots so be carefull. I would just keep her cool, maybe a soft icepack if it gets too much and keep on with the calamine lotion. Get her a little fan and keep her in the dark as much as possible. Hope she gets well soon.
Piriton says that their liquid medicine can help this??
aside from the answers here you should call a doctor or other parents for more help and see what works
Eurax cream is brilliant for any itching and last for about 20 hours. I used it when I last went to India for mosquito bites. I have also used it for heat rash. My friends children are just getting over chicken pox and she covered them in it. She said it was the only thing that worked. You can buy it as a cream or a lotion.
