If I delay eating a meal for more than an hour, I get these awful hunger pangs, even after I eat. Help?

Question:
And please don't tell me to NOT delay my meals, it is under unfortunate circumstances that I eat dinner or whatever an hour or so late.
And even after I eat, my stomach still hurts. shouldn't I feel better after eating?

Answers:
Sounds like stomach acid. Can you drink a glass of milk when you can't eat? that should help. otherwise get some antacid med like Zantec or maylox. Or just keep alot of Rolaids around. I have acid reflux and that is quite differant (i take rannidene). More of a heartburn thing and a bad taste in your throat. Sometimes eating will ease the symtoms and sometimes not. I don't know why. Ice cream will generally ease all pain.
whos making the food
Have you been checked for low blood sugar? I would start there. If that is not the cause, have your doctor check you for reflux.
what sort of pain are you feeling?? is it a sharp burning pain? if it is. and referring to your situation i'd deduce that it's gastric ulcer. you see there are 2 common types of ulcers.1) gastric ulcer, it is characterized by a sharp burning pain that is not relieved by eating and is acrually worsened by it. the ulcer is located in the stomach. 2) duodenal ulcer the pain is also sharp and burning but it is releived by eating.

then again it might just be hyperacidity. have you been experiencing this for a long time?? in some cases ulcers develop in just months for some people at other cases it takes years. but for an ulcer to start there should first be an excess in gastric secretions long enough to injure your stomach's lining through repetitive exposure

i suggest that you schedule a check up with your doctor to be sure.
