Pain in my wrist?

Question:
Do I have tendinitis again or is it something more serious- it hurts when I move my hand in streching posistions & hurts to lift anything...

Answers:
If you have developed tendonitis in your wrist, it will never go away. I suffer from the same problem.

Once tendonitis develops, it stays with you forever. The initial symptoms fade after a while, but if you are using your wrists a lot, you will get flare-ups from time to time.

There is no cure for it, but you can talk to your doctor about good painkillers and/or custom splints, among other possible treatments.

Good luck, I feel your pain!

This could be a sprain or hyper extension
of the wrist. You didn't say whether you
recently injured yourself.

In either case, seek a professional diagnosis.
might be purple tunnel

you might see a doctor if the pain lasts more than a few days. Try wearing one of the latex splints to give your wrist some help with the lifting.
It sounds like it may be carpaltunnel. Check with your doctor for a professional diagnosis. There are many Yahoo Wannabe Doctors in here who are not real doctors but think they are because they stayed in a Holiday Inn Express once.
carpel tunnel
You might possibly suffer from Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (not sure if it's Carpal or Carpian...?).

Not only does you wrist hurt, but it also affects your fingers, specifically you thumb, index and middle finger. They will become numb.

This is not that serious if taken care of. Usually occures due to repetative movements. If you spend a lot of time on PC or doing the same thing for a prolonged period of time.

You can go to a pharmacy and get a wrist band....it's more like a big glove that has a metal plate to support your wrist. You can also have this syndrome on your arm, below the elbow. There is also something at the pharmacy you can get.

It's important to obtain one for the night as we tend to twist and turn our wrists into un-natural positions.

However, if not taken care of and you continue with the same repetative movements, you might have to undergo minor surgery to correct it and even at that, it's not guaranteed that it will not come back....
Sounds like repetetive stress syndrome. Try using your other hand for the mouse - or maybe you should get out more.
well i have the same problem i think i sleep on it last time i started turning it different ways and it snaped in place try that the doc is gonna do the same cause if it was broken youll be crying and it hurts really bad you wont be able to touch anything balieve me
It may be carpal tunnel. But if you're lucky, it may just be another tendinitis attack.
I had the same thing in both hands, but more severe in my right - and even a little adjustment, like switching hands for the mouse - makes a difference. Sure, alot of people thought I was left handed for a while but so what, my wrists aren't bothering me anymore.
Sounds like you may have carpal tunnel syndrome. Is the extremity weak? Do you drop things frequently? Carpal tunnel usually develops when one uses the extremity constantly. It is nerves in the median area of the wrist that become entangled and cause the hand to become weak, numb if you will, and feels like ants in it at times. Try splints at night that you can get from Wal-Mart and/or anti-inflammatory medication such as Mobic.
