Is morphine stronger than dilaudid (hydromorphone) or is the opposite true?

Morphine is the purest form of the opiate, dilaudid is a derivative of morphine.

They are both opiates and both highly addictive. I suppose it depends on the body chemistry of the person and the degree of pain and the dosage prescribed.

I've had both. I think morphine is stronger but doesn't last as long. Dilauded is more spread out, although it makes me terribly nauseated. morphine is stronger. That is why it is used to ease the suffering of people who are terminally ill.
