Answers:
Hey, are you me?, I have the same.
What you see though is not the pencil lead, it is a stain, very similar to a tattoo
Other Answers:
go to the doctors
You can. of course it's graphite and not lead. Graphite is bad for you if you eat a lot of it.
Must not be doing any harm, leave it or have a Dr take it out
It's not lead. It's graphite.
If you can see it then it should be easy to remove. Your doctor will probably just freeze the area and remove it by a little incision.
I have had pencil lead in my hand for about 25 years.
I am still alive with no known side effects caused by said pencil lead.
Don't worry about it..
This is no worse than a tattoo. pencil lead is not really lead it is graphite .which is basically harmless. No. It has been there this long already, it's going nowhere else. It is embeded in your dermis, where cells that belong to the immune system have built a special scar tissue around it to isolate it and prevent it from moving.
Don't worry about it, back in 3rd grade my friend got mad at me and stabbed me near a vain in my right hand. It's been a long time since then and I can still see it, yet i am still alive, so don't worry about it, just go on living.
Are you alive and well? I'll assume yes if not it'd been your doctor which the question is directed at.
However, if you are concerned, go see a doctor. It is obvious that you are since you can remember that and ask the question.
A classmate of mine threw a mechanical pencil at my friend without pushing the lead in. The lead became embedded at her forehead. We asked our chemistry teacher and she said it'll usually come out soon and it's not dangerous.
It will have to do with how deep that is I guess.
In my opinion, I strongly believe that any foreign body in me will cause some sort of problem. I mean, if not why do people fret over things like that?
If it's okay people won't care. If it's really okay I'll see little kids poking pencil leads into each other.
Go see a doctor if it really concerns you. You're an adult now!
