SCIENTISTS do not know why humans grow old and die.It seems that our cells should keep on being renwed and that we should live forever. The book Hyojun Soshikigaku(Standard Histology)say:It is a great mystery how the aging of cells is related to the aging and death of an individual``. Many scientists believe that there is a natural, inherent`` limit to life.Do you think think they are right? (2) WHEN disaters strike,destroying property and claiming lives,many cannot understand why such terrible things happen. Others are troubled by the extent, cruelty,and wantonness of crime and violence. You too may have wondered,Why does God permit suffering?

Answers:
We grow old and die because we are living organisms. all living things eventually die. It is simply the cycle of life. God does not necessarily "permit" suffering... He gave humans the freedom of choice and promised us that freedom. If we hurt eachother and cause suffering... then that is the choice we make. He did not give us the feedom so he can take it away every time we mess up. That would not be right. God gave us powerful brains and hearts to learn to solve problems and to care for eachother... but mankind does not always do whats right or best... then we blame God for not fixing it.

There are some theories that age is a side-effect of some good genetic thing, like intelligence. If you didn't age, you'd be dumb as a rock. It's a tradeoff.

Everything dies. Nothing is permanent. That includes the human body. Even if it didn't age, you would still die eventually. Live in the moment.

And there is no conscious, compassionate being who is all-powerful. We all just wish there was.

bcuz u cant alwayz have everything easy then where would we learn 4rm our experiences and get stronger god only made u the rest of how ur life is lived its up 2 u if u chose 2 screw up ur life the only person 2 blame is urself no 1 else
as we grown older we learn things in life experiences and become more mature
god made u and only he can decide when ur life will end

well we are working on why, what genes, how they work etc. Someday we will be alot closer to knowing the cause exactly.

If people did not die, we would just all have to kill each other at a faster rate over food, space, and resources.

I am thinking the next species after humans might get it a bit better than we did.

Of all the suffering ever done in this world God has done the most...and as far as i can tell i wouldn't want to live forever...i mean really with the way the world is headed who would??

Awful things happen in the world but I think there is a reason for everything even if we never find out what it is.

Could you imagine the trouble we would be in if no-one died of old age? The planet would be over-run and we would die of starvation because the planet would not be able to support us.

Also, IMHO there is no such thing as a divine being. The bible and religion has sporned some of the worst monsters in history. They kill in the name of their god even though the bible says it's wrong to do so. The bible is a reference for people who have little in their lives to cling to.

When things go good we thank god. When things go down the toilet its an act of god and he is testing us... he is on a win win all the way even though he appears to do nothing... there is no real proof either way and neither will there be so. When you are dead you are dead so get out there and enjoy life... There more than likely is not another better one waiting for you...

Thos who kill, especially in the name of Allah are seriously brainwashed and unfortunately some people believe everything their religious leaders tell them... 73 virgins waiting for them in heaven... what sort of rational being would believe that... and why are these virgins in heaven in such quantaties anyhow... who killed them all?

God doesn't permit suffering...*life*permits suffering. I guess we just have to make a distinction between the two & I'm not even religious. God protects your "spiritual" self...not your "physical" self.

Have you noticed how people that have survived tragedies end up a better person.
