Can you get a sore or scratchy throat when you have allergies?
Question:
Answers:
It is from the nasal drip. It could be either. Take some Sudafed and vitamins in case it is a cold. Either way it will help.
Other Answers:
Probably allergies..could be sinus though.
Sounds like you have what I have--post nasal drip. It's caused by the nasal passages being swollen because of allergies. This can cause irritation of the throat. There are plenty of good allergy medicines on the market. Benadryl is the best but it can make you drowsy. Good non drowsy ones are Claritin, Aerius, and Reactin. Ask your pharmacist what they would recommend.
