I have an EXTREMELY sore throat and it is EXTREMELY sore to swallow. Any ideas what it is?

Question:
I have had my tonsils removed as a child. I am struggling to swallow as my throat is so sore. It is extremely red and there are some white spots beside where my tonsils once were. Does anyone have any ideas what this is and how to cure? I have had it for 3 days and have taken throat sprays and lozenges which have not helped at all. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Answers:
wat r u doin in here.go to ur doc and ask wat it is.if he says he doesn't know what it is then go to a specialist.
Think your tonsils can actually grow back, but you could also have inflammation of the scar tissue.
Gargle with salt water or Oraldene antiseptic mouth wash.
If it persists, see the doc.
try olive oil,
or lemon juice with honey
