Back ache is common in pregnancy and as far as I know it only gets worse as you go on, due to the stress on your spine and excess weight you will be carrying. Take lots of hot showers - can't beat heat therapy. Make sure you check with your doctor before applying any creams or gels, in case they affect your baby. it is unlikely but better to be sure. have a good pregnancy. Oh, you could try some gentle swimming or water exercises too. That may help. Say it at your pre natal checks too, as they may be able to advise you and bring you more comfort. Best of luck with it all.
extra pillows, a little heat (not too much and not for too long, just a few minutes), counter pressure (backrubs work well), tylenol, ask you doctor

I had terrible back-ache in the last trimester of my pregnancy. It would seem strange to me to be experiencing back-ache so early on, as usually it's due to the weight of the baby and fluid causing a strain on your spine. At 3 months there obviously isn't that much weight and strain so I'd contact your doctor ASAP.
