The student must satisfy the following requirements for admission into EMT class:
a. Minimum Age of 18 by Course Completion Date
b. High School Graduate or GED Equivalency
c. Submit completed "Admission Information Form"

Not in Texas, but I know some guys who went to my high school were emts as juniors. Supervised, of course. it appears to be 18
18 would probably the minimum hiring age. Many places now offer EMT certificates in high school.
