Does anyone know of a support group for Plantar Fasciiatis?

Question:
Plantar Fasciiatis is a very painful foot condition. I feel alone with this pain, and as I know no one who has experienced it, I would like to connect with others who are dealing with this condition.

I have never heard of one. Do you have heel spurs? I was lucky and caught it in time and have regular ultrasound treatments to improve the pain.
hey
you just responded to my post, and i wanted to get back to me.. plantar fasciiatis is only if it is the longitudinal arch, mine is the crossarch.. i already have orthodics and arch supports, just need to figure out what to do about this dilemna when i wake up in the morning or sit still for too long.. i know some good websites for conditions, try netdoctor in the uk site, link below
I had the beginning stages of plantar fasciitis. Deep tissue bodywork (Hellerwork) was what helped. The relief was immediate, YMMV.

The other suggestions are good.

Plantar fasciitis is often caused by tension in the calf and maybe up in the back of the thigh and even the back or neck. Try calf stretches with both your knee straight and bent to see if that helps. If it hurts to do the stretches, you're not yet ready for them. Orthotics could be making the problem worse, try it without them for a while or get fitted for new ones.

One client said she had tried lots of things and the Chaco sandals were what helped her most.

As for a support group, have you tried search the Yahoo Groups?
