Super Glue and Fingernails! Really Need Help?

Question:
I play guitar, blues guitar, which involves a ton of bending - my middle finger nail as a result slowly gets the skinned ripped off from underneath it, causing it to bleed and usually make me take a break for a few days. I've heard of putting super glue under nail to prevent this any opinions? (Plz no guitar "guru" help such as "change your string gauge - tune down half step, etc - )

Answers:
Bowlers use a liquid which they apply on the skin to protect the skin during the game. This may work for you. Look for it in a bowling pro shop.

well the super glue isnt really going to do anything except for glue your skin to your nail. plus it is going to feel weird and it is going to effect your playing. are you looking for a buffer? something to protect your under nail skin?

oh yeah, dont use super glue, the thing about super gluing a cut to stitch it up is crap. yeah it works, but you are putting harsh chemicals into your blood stream, and not to mention that it is a ***** to get off.

but if you want to try something like that, i recommend the liquid bangages. just coat it on like a mother.
