Who hires Medical Coders who work from home?

Question: I am just beginning to study Medical Coding and would like to work from home. Is there a website I can go to to obtain a list of legitimate employers?

Answers:
I'm sorry, I don't have a list of legitimate employers who might hire for work at home. But what I can tell you is that many doctors offices & hospitals do coding from home. The hospital I work for does, anyway....and the coders are very happy with this arrangement even though they come onto the site once every few days.

I'd think your best bet would be to check with the individual medical facilities near by where you want to work & ask their personnel departments.
