How do you get sick like, overnight? I just woke up with a tickly...?

Question:
throat this morning (you know before you get a cold/cough) and I felt fine this morning!! Haven't eaten much fruit or anything or even slept much so obviously that's a contributing factor but how does it work!? It confuzzles me.

Answers:
It usually takes 2 - 3 days for an infection to be felt, so you acquired your illness on Sat/Sun - lack of sleep, being overtired, little valuable nutrition etc all do it! Poor you. Take the day off - tell them I said it was OK, and get yourself to bed with a hot toddy! The weather's crap today in any case! Hope you feel better soonl.

Other Answers:
you get like sick from like germs you like know.
Bacteria and viruses only need a matter of hours to multiply enough to make you ill. The general incubation period is 24 hours, but for most of the early hours you won't even notice anything. From the time you feel ill until you are full blown sick can be anywhere from 4-12 hours.
Bed bugs
What germs can get through sheets and have the audacity to infect you whilst asleep!!!!!!!!!!!

Id move have you seen the film outbreak!!!!!!!?
the symptoms can just appear over night - probably cos your immune system is low. Eat plenty of fruit and take it easy - it will probably get a bit worse before it gets better!
if the windows were open the air outside affected you coz of bacterias that happens to me when i leave the windows to my bedroom open i wake up feeling bad and my throat feels horrible just guggle betadine mouth wash you wil be fine
You were probably exposed to a virus in the previous day or 2. The little suckers breed until there's enough of them to cause a problem and because the rate of growth is geometric(each of them has many descendants), the problem can seem to hit very suddenly. Did you ever look at one of those problems where you take a penny and double it every day for a month? The first week you don't even have a dollar but then all the sudden, you're rich. It's the same concept inside your body except that it's a bad thing and it happens faster.
Depends on what you been putting down your throat the night before.....?!!!
have you been around anyone who was sick or is sick? do you smoke? sometimes the air may be dry which causes a sore throat
When you find out who gave it to you, then I would sue.
the best time for a flu or bug to take hold of you is when you are a sleep you are just laying there
