I agree with all the other answers. The best thing is to use something like Preparation H for the swelling. But once you get them under control you can prevent them by 1)eating plenty of fiber like apples and oatmeal or taking a fiber supplement, 2) drinking plenty of water, 3) taking a stool softener so you won't have to strain when you go.
As much as I am a natural practioner and lover of the herbal arts......Preperation H is the only way to go to get fast acting results! It's the steroids in the cream it's self that make it work sooooooo well.
