why can't heart attack patients eat black licorice?

I can't think of any reason for this. In big amounts licorice can be a laxative, and some medical books say it raises blood pressure. I would be curious to know as well if someone knows.

My dad has had 3 massive heart attacks and he eats licorace every day. Its his favorite treat. Licorice is a good treat for a heart attack patient because it is Fat Free.

because the drug and food company want u to only use there drugs because if there were no sick people they would not get there money.. think about it
