Why dont doctors make housecalls?

Question:
I need to go to the doctor but I feel lousy.I dont want to sit in a room full of sick little kids. What I have is chronic,. what they have is contaigous probly .so if doctors cant make house calls I think they should have two waiting rooms one for people with colds flu ect and one for people with diabetes ,epilepsy anything that doesnt spread. What do you think.

Answers:
The HMO spelled the death for the doctor's house call. When a doctor became just another paid employee they were forced to see 12+ patients a day.

If you are rich enough then you can get almost anything you want, including house calls.

Have you noticed UV lamps pointing up to the ceiling in hospital emergency rooms? They are there to kill airborne viruses. You could purchase a battery operated black light and do the same thing.

If you are contagious then you might consider asking the receptionist for a mask to wear. They probably won't have a space to put contagious patients that are waiting to be seen. Medical office space is pretty expensive. If not for the expense then your idea would be a good one.
Because they are afraid they might be kidnapped by the patient(s).
