Need some info on?

Question:
Prednisone and Cortisone. Are they the same thing? I'm wondering what they do and how do their side effects differ? I have a friend who is having a cortisone shot today and she is worried that it is going to make her feel bad. I told her it shouldn't but she seems to think it will be as bad as the side effects caused by the Prednisone. Any info? Thanks all.

Answers:
They are in the same class of drugs:

I believe that cortisone is used when someone is hurting in their joints and that is the only thing that will give comfort versus having to take pain killers. It may hurt like crap when your getting the shot but it should make you feel better in the long run.
