yeah thats a possibility. certain medications can do it as well (some antihistamines, motion sickness meds, and some others.). also, if you have constantly been use eye drops, your body produces less tears and then you have to rely on the drops more and more.

Dry Eye Syndrome, or possibly an autoimmune condition. Talk to an ophthalmologist. They can run a test to see which one, since the treatments are different. They can also install plugs in your tear ducts to keep the tears you do make in your eyes.
For fast symptomatic relief get some Refresh Endura eye drops at your drug store. Those are the best! Or the doctor may give you a script for Restasis, which is an immunosuppressant in an Endura base. Beware any eye drops that remove redness, as those dry out your eyes more.
You can also try taking some supplements to increase your tear oil production. Some people like Flax or Fish Oil. Some like Evening Primrose Oil. Some like the special dry eye formulas from various vitamin companies.
a good tear solution at the drugstore is great and keep lots of them around the house so you can use them. i have sjogrens syndrome that causes dry body and eyes and i have to use a saline solution all the time it feels good anyways.. talk to the pharmacy .. bren
