They say 6-8 weeks. I know that if you change earrings before then you greatly increase your odds of getting an infection. I changed mine after having no issues whatsoever at 5 weeks, and they got infected almost instantly. My sister and mother got theirs done the same time as mine but they had problems with theirs so they waited a little longer to change their earrings and they never had a problem with them.

A scar is a scar. I have a piercing scar from when I was 14 and I'm 32. Scars fade, but never go away.
