Diabetes is a blood sugar imbalance. I'm fairly sure you'd need to have bloodwork done.

A urinalysis for diabetes would test for sugar after fasting, then drinking a simple sugar solution at 30 minutes, 1 hour, and two hours later. You would have blood work done to check for insulin levels as well.
