use flash cards it is the one thing that worked for me. put a question on the front, answer on the back and go thru them until you know them all

Daily meditation and observing one's breath helps to increase ones abilities to concentrate and focus. Before you sit down to study, focus on your breathing and silently contemplate for a bit. I have found when I'm quiet, relaxed and at peace I study much better than if I am tense or under pressure.

Start with no music or tv on while you study. Make sure you have everything you need, books, pencils, paper and don't have to keep getting up to get things. Try to do it in a place where you don't have a lot of distractions. Turn off your phone, you can always call people back when your done. Don't try to get too much done at one sitting. Overloading your brain/memory will not help at all. Good Luck...it's all worth it
Time management. Make sure you have you schedule in place on when you want to study, and make sure it's when you have the most clarity. For some people, it's in the mornings, while others it's at night. Find out which time of the day is most effective for you.
Try to have a calm state of mind before you start. Do not have heavy meals, have a glass of warm milk before commencing studies. Study under proper lights, turn of the TV , Radio.
Havin an undisturbed calm mind is of utmost importance.
Takes time, but once you get the hang of it, its very refreshing & good for memory. Start with 2 hours daily then go up to 4-5 hours daily.
Start having 2-4 almonds daily whick are soaked in water overnight in a copper vessel.This would improve your absobrtion for a long time to come.
Try studying in spurts. This is what I did:

I set a kitchen timer (the wind up kind) for 5, 10, 30 minutes and did my studying

When the ringer went off, I set the timer for an equal amount of time and did whatever I damn well pleased.

I repeated this process over and over and studying went much quicker and more enjoyable than hunching over for hours on end.
