More ways to get rid of heartburn?
I tried milk, i've drank like a half a gallon of milk. I can't take tums because the texture makes me sick, and they don't work unless i eat a whole bunch of them. I try drinking baking soda and water but I throw up because of the taste. What else can I try?

Give your doctor a call. It's basically a severe case of acid reflex disease, I have the same thing. Usually milk will sometimes help, drink milk and lay down in bed on your back.. Just talk to your doctor about it or set up some type of appointment

I vote for Pepcid Complete, I have frequent heartburn and for me nothing works faster or better. One tablet is all it takes, and the chalkiness is managable in my opinion.

eat 6 smaller meals per day rather than gorging out on 3, avoid spicy/greasy foods, do not lie down immediately after eating, wait a few hours, also avoid peppermints, alcohols, citrus/coffee's, and watch the tums and the like because some of them (the ones that have calcium salts) will calm you down for a while, but then the calcuim stirs up the acid glands to produce more acid
Take Pepcid. I ate tums for years, until my doctor perscribed Pepcid. They work fast and last 12 hours. Rather than 10-20 tums a day now it's a 40mg tablet in the morning and evening. Good luck

ok, i am going to tell you and your gonna think i'm nuts, but trust me.when i was pregnant with my first child i had heartburn awful.my mother in law told me to take a spoonful of mustard!! I asked her if she was trying to kill me and she laughed and told me to try it, i just couldn't do it at first but then i just had to heartburn was killing me and i promise you it was gone instantly.it will burn some going down and it really is hard to swallow, but you gotta psych yourself up and just do it.
