About Migraines?

Question:
I have a health problem that has been going on now for at least 20 years, and my son has had this problem for at least 10 years.
I'm wondering if you can get a migraine that you have any pain with except my lower back hurts and my knee joints have pain.
I start to get hot and than I get Double or Blurred Vision not sure which,I splash my face and puty eye drops in and it seems to help for awhile.
My face starts to turn red espeacially around the nose, than I start to lose my coordination in walking, hand movements,I start to slurr my words and have a real hard time swallowing,It looks like I'm drunk to the persdon who has never saw me like this.To make this go away I have to lay down and go to sleep for2 or 3 hours and I get up like nothing ever happened.
I've lost quite a few jobs with this problem and without having any kind of insurance I can't go to the DR'S.
I've had numerous test done even while I was having one of these attacks,no DR has come up with anything. HELP ME!!!!

Answers:
This does not sound like migraines to me. I have migraines which are defined as follows:

"Migraine is a neurological disease, of which the most common symptom is an intense and disabling episodic headache. Migraine headaches are usually characterized by severe pain on one or both sides of the head and are often accompanied by photophobia (hypersensitivity to light), phonophobia (hypersensitivity to sound) and nausea. The word migraine is French in origin and comes from the Greek hemicrania (as does the Old English term megrim). Literally, hemicrania means "only half the head."

I am not sure what you have going on, but I think you should be seeing a neurologist. It almost sounds like a seizure of some sort, but I am not a specialist and that is what you need. See the links below.

You need to find someone to help you get to see a Doctor. Check in your paper, or ask about free clinics, a lot of doctors do free clinics for volunteer work. You need to be seen immeadiatly.
get a massage. have the therapist work deeply on your neck and shoulders. you also could ask for pressure point work on your ears, face, and scalp. and always drink lots of water.
my doctor prescribed me the imitex shot ,the pills didnt work but with the shot my migraine went away and i was able to go back to doing normal things
now i make sure i keep it on hand
i got a free coupon from imitrex.com just sign up for their newsletters and stuff and then get your doc to write a prescription
