How come we don't include the nine months we were in our mums' bellies in out age?

Question:
Eventhough we are still developing inside we are still alive right?

Answers:
it's called a birthday not a conception day

Other Answers:
Because it's called your BIRTHday.
Some cultures do.
They do in Japan.
Because the day of conception is harder/near impossible in most cases to calculate.
Because for your first nine months, you are not born. Birthday means the day you were BIRTHED from the womb. And No YOU are not alive, but something is. Still cool to abort it tho.
Cause that would make you that much older. duh.
You're right, but it is very difficult, if not impossible, to determine exactly when an egg is fertilized. It's never exactly 9 months to the day, so the concept of a birthday, or as it would become, a "conception day" is impossible. Also, when people started keeping track of ages, little was known about the process of birth and internal fertilization.
Because often the date of conception is hard to fine exactly and in medical HISTORY a fetus has not always been consider a human being until born. I am NOT stating an opinion just a fact. Good luck and have fun.

We don't count that time because we are not yet finished or complete. We're alive, but only in the same way that a tapeworm is alive: remove either from the host, and it will die.
in some religions they do use it just not normally in the Americans beliefs it's not really celebrated like a birthday but it is acknowledged

I award the above the grand prize for the most stupid answer of the day. From conception you are you. Abortion is murder, and not the least cool.
because those nine months are just for the mother to feel and observe.those months are her treasure not for the rest of the world
