Hello, I need help, All the help I can get on something.?

Question:

A couple days ago I gained a sore throat and runny nose. I recieved alot of pain everytime I swallowed something. The runny nose healed after a couple of days. My sore throat still remains and its hurts worse and worse everyday. Today I woke up and my throat was hurting. I took a motrin and the pain went away partially and it came back in 1 hour. (motrin 800mg). In the middle of the day I noticed small bumps on my nose, under my nose, on my neck, on my forhead, and on my left hand, Is this an allergic reaction, insect bite, or something out of the ordinary, or is it a regular cold. I need help please. I dont want to go through the trouble of going to the Emergency Room.

It sounds like strep throat. If it is, you need antibiotics. Left untreated, strep throat can become scarlet fever, which causes a rash. See a doctor, and get antibiotics. Good luck, and I hope you feel better soon.

It sounds like an allergic reaction. Try taking some Benadryl to reduce the effects of the hives. Also, for your throat to be sore as it has been for days it sounds like you need to get to your Doctor and have a throat culture done. Its quite possible you have strep throat and you need an antibiotic. In the meantime, stay away from carbonated beverages, don't drink anything extremely hot OR cold as this will aggravate your throat pain. Take small sips rather than big gulps. And make an appointment first thing Monday morning. Be sure to tell him about the reaciton you had with the Motrin.

You do need to go to the doctor, sore throat, rash and most of all if you happen to be running fever with this.

u had the flu it appears, but then it seems b/c u didn't get it treated properly, it's mutated into something worse

Ok Small bumps usually is not an allergic reaction. Allergic reaction is hives which are swollen red areas that itch and feel hot..You did not say if you had a fever, but with a sore throat that gets worse over a couple of days needs a throat culture to make sure you do not have strep throat.You do not have to go to the emergency room ( The ER would make you wait because this is not an Emergency) call your doctor and let him/her know what is happening and ask for advice, or go to your local immediate care center and get your culture done.

I would either go to the docotr if you're not insured go to the ER now good luck
