Does the MMR shot hurt? I need it for work.?

Question:

Answers:
If you're working, I assume you are an adult. The MMR injection is not a big deal, but you can feel sort of like the flu afterwards for a few days. If you are allergic to the serum, then don't take it. Ask your doctor if it's ok for you to take. You may have to take the series, or at least two injections. ASK! See if you can get a titer drawn instead to see if you have the antibodies. A lot of places won't draw it because they don't want to spend the money, it's cheaper to give you the immunization. As your doctor and he may draw it for you.

Other Answers:
no, not at all. i've had al least 5 and never felt it.

na! that;'s the mumps measle rhubella. It's not big and just given in the upper arm. no problem! Not at all, but I guess by looking at my profile, I love needles!

For about .5 seconds, it is a shot. It is nothing and certainly better then getting sick.

It doesn't hurt any worse than any other injection. When I went to nursing school, I had to repeat my childhood immunizations and I am not sure which one, but one of them made me deathly sick. I ran a fever for about 4 days and couldn't get out of bed.
It was either the MMR or the DPT. what kind of work do you do? I am a Medical Assistant and well, the shot hurt my friend but I did not feel a thing. It depends on the person giving the shot and on the patient. everyone is different.
