Possible to bruise from the inside out?

Question:
Always had problems with my knees and I've noticed lately that I have been bruising around my knee and I know that I haven't bumped into anything. Also, had an ACL reconstruction done 4 yrs ago on right knee and currently in therapy because the knee cap slides to the right. Any ideas?

Answers:
Yes, I've heard of situations like that. The bruises are from that dang knee cap sliding. It's moving around, causing bruises that start from the inside and work their way out. I don't think that normally bruises start from the inside out unless you have a problem like yours, though.

Other Answers:
go to the docs and talk with them about it. it couldn have something to do with the surgeries. or it could be from therapy. good luck

you might have a blood platelet disorder which causes bruising, i had this a few years ago when i had glandular fever and my immune system was very low, i had huge bruises all over my legs and the doctor didn't believe me initially when i said they didn't hurt and i hadn't knocked my legs. a simple blood test will tell you the cause, hopefully, it did for me, i needed no treatment for this as it cleared up as soon as i started recovering from the fever.
