Burning sensation in my foot, specifically the top area.?

Question:
I work a job where I stand all the time for 8 hours a day , 5-6 days a week. Recently my foot has had some mild burning sensation to it, particularly at the top region, spread out, but I have been ignoring it. Tonight, as I got out of my car and stood up, I felt a very severe burning sensation, much worse than before on my foot in the same area...like something exploded in there...just wondering what it may be before I head to the doctors. Please don't tell me to go see the doc, because I will, I just want to see what it may be first. thanks.

Answers:
could be one of the bone in your foot is broken. being on your feet all day for as long as you are you could have a caused stress fracture. a stress fracture is brought on by repetitve use such as walkin running and standing. stress fractures can take a while before you feel the affects of it. could be caused by a foot injury you sustained years ago that never healed right. deffinately get it checked out.
I would go to the doctor sounds like you might have tendinitis. Its when the tendons in your feet get inflamed and they hurt.
