What do you do in this first aid situation...?

Question:
Someone was on a ladder cleaning out the gutter of our house and fell off. He got up and said he was okay, but now says he feels weak and his legs are shaking. What should I do besides call 911..like what actions should I take?

Answers:
For someone who fell off a ladder the treatment would be to keep the person still, paying special attention to not moving the neck. The person should be positioned on his back. The normal treatment would be to raise the legs, but since there is a risk for spinal injury the person should not be moved. Call 911 and wait for professionals to take care of him.

Other Answers:
have this person lie down, in shade, be still, calm, ans cover with a blamket in case person goes into shock
You should absolutely see a doctor to rule out internal bleeding or nerve impingement in the spinal colum. Do not wait until symptoms worsen. It is better to have a false alarm than to have a growing problem
take them to the hospital or dr office depending on if the dr's office is open you would be really upset if this person died and you didn't do something about this.
I believe that concusions can take time to appear symptomatically. YOu should take them to the ER. 911 may not be necessary yet. THey need to probably have a CT scan to make sure they aren't bleeding internally. Hopefully beyond that nothing will be too bad.
Have this person lie down and not move his or her head. They may have spinal injuries that are not apparent yet.
Call 911, of course. Give calm and clear directions to your house if needed. Keep an eye out for the ambulance or fire truck (sometimes one will arrive before the other) and be prepared to flag them down.
Make sure the person is breathing and has a pulse. Otherwise, there is nothing you can do until the medics arrive. Don't try to move the person yourself. You could cause further injury.
