Are Contact Lenses Comfortable?
Question:
Answers:
It's different for everyone. It depends on your natural tears and the shape of your eye.
In the first few days you might feel some discomfort after a few hours. But the optician will give you a schedule for your first week or so. They will usually give you a free pair to try on and walk around in for an hour or so.
I've worn them for about ten years now. You just don't notice them.
In the US the cost will likely be around $70 for six months of soft lenses if you get them online. Unless you irregular shaped eyes (astigmatism) then your cost would be around $130 for six months.

contacts aren't too expensive... I recommend soft lenses.. hard ones hurt a lot if anything gets in your eye... and are generally harder to take care of. Get disposable lenses, too... you really can't feel them once they are in your eye. Good luck!
I wouldn't know. I'm a glasses case too. Thanks for the 2 points :)
give them a try, that's all you can do. Your optician will ascertain which kind of contact is right for you. They've come a long way with contact lenses, I'm sure you'll find a perfect fit.
It depends on your vision; I am very far sighted, and contacts are very uncomfortable for me. I understand that for most people who are near sighted they are quite comfortable.
they aren't comfortable at first, but they are comfortable once your eyes get used to them, which took about a week for me. I'm short-sighted and I've had contact lenses for about 6 months now. The nose also has to get used to not having the weight of your glasses' frame on it, but it doesn't take long to get used to them. I can't even feel my contact lenses now that my eyes are used to them. They are more expensive than glasses, but I definitely prefer contact lenses to glasses.
With all contacts though, it's extremely important that you wash your hands first because otherwise, it's bad for your eye.
They aren't too expensive. I used to wear glasses and had them for almost 4 years before I got contacts. Soft lenses are the best and as long as you take proper care of them and clean them properly when you wear them it's as if you're not wearing anything. Occasionally they will irritate, but its only a matter of taking them off and putting them back on.
Very, hardly know they are there, although you should be able to try them out first, some people have different levels of pain and that>?
Once you get the hang of lenses it will be just like brushing your teeth (another thing to do when you get up) it gets easier with practise, If you get disposible lenses it even easier. Here in Europe they are €30 for a months supply and i'm sure they are around the same in the US that also means you don't have to buy any extra solution because they come pre-packed
I just payed $135.00 at Wal Mart for 6 month supply. The contacts are the disposable type.
