How to get rid of blood clot under toenail?

Question:
I hit my toe several days ago and the blood clot or bloodblister will not go away. Anyone know how to get it out?

Answers:
The easiest way is to let the toenail grow out. I've had it before, and the blood stayed with the nail and was gone in a matter of months. If you wanted to, you could dig the thing out with a knife, but im sure you'd rather let it work its way out.

Other Answers:
You are going to have to put a hole in your toe nail to releve the pressure. Take a hot neddle and poke the nail it will hurt like a sumbich but you can do it! I had to go to the ER to have this done one time, they used a drill. Good luck
its gunna hurt really bad if you try to get rid of it so id just let it go. it will disapear in 2 months or so
that happened to me before. if you leave it alone eventually it will grow out. but if you want it out right now. Try to squeeze it out from the toe of course you have to make a hole with a heated safety pin. Depending on how big a clot it is you might have to do this repeatedly.
it's not true as they warned me that i'll lose my nail completely.
Normally, there's no way to remove the clot. Blood clots usually move in the direction of nail growth, and eventually disappear (move out). However, if it's a big clot, you should see a doctor. Sometimes it is necessary to remove the nail, because of the risk of infection.
Yes, you can get a tiny thin needle sterlize it stick it and generally the blood will ooze out but sometimes you have to kind of mash it a little untill all the blood is out and thats it. But it will go away without doing anything it just takes along time. The needle thing sounds painful and gross but truly it's not.
Good Luck
