With enough willpower you can stop yourself from doing anything. dip them in feces.
You can wear gloves or mittens or something else like that so that way you can't chew them. :\

Chew gum. I had a major problem bitting my nails but keeping gum in my mouth really helped.
Get some chewing gum and pop some in your mouth whenever you get the urge to chew your fingers.
Well, I used to have a problem biting my fingernails, and I just put really bad fingernail polish on them (a few tastes of that and you stopped biting your nails pretty quickly)

rub dog crap all over them First of all if it's any comfort you are not alone. In fact several Doctors I've met chewed their fingers. Although I would not know for sure, I would suggest limiting your chewing to one finger or hand to start with. See how long you can stop one, just one aspect. If successful, move on to more. In time you won't chew any fingers. After all it's just a habit, you can overcome it.

PULL YOUR TEETH OUT When you feel the need to chew your fingers, go find something to eat. Specifically some low fat meat like chicken, or other protein if you are a vegetarian, and a bit of carbohydrate. While an apple would be ideal, since you need immediate food, go for a cracker or a single cookie. Also if you have peanuts or almonds on hand (and are not allergic) eat them up. They are protein and good fat.
You don't have to make a meal of this though. A snack is about one ounce of protein and a small amount of carb if you are a woman. Double that if you are a man. Don't worry about the amount of nuts.
Eat this instead of those fingers. Chew slow ly and carefully. Then drink 8 oz of water and do something that raises your heartbeat for a while, even just breathing in and out. Laughing is the best for this.
If you do this every time you want to nibble the fingers, you should not gain much weight, if any at all, and should feel great.

First of all, when you begin to chew them, watch yourself do it in a mirror. It looks pretty gross. Another way to deter you is to start getting manicures. I realize not with fancy polish, as you are a guy. But just get them clean and buffed nice so they look good, and you won't want to bite them.
