I have a burning sensation in my left buttock close to my thigh.....what the heck?

If there is no mark, rash or lump, then my guess is it is nerve related, and that nerve could be anywhere. I hurt something around my right deltoid once and it left me with shooting pains in my right wrist. The area that I actually injured was sore, but nothing compared to what I was getting in my wrist, the body is weird. I would watch it throughout the day just to make sure there is no changes in the appearance to the skins surface. Take some aleve and see if it helps. If it does, then a nerve may be getting hit by something inflamed.
You have been sitting to long. Stand up and walk around.
