Okay, let's talk about evolution for a moment, to better understand what's going on. Our bodies have evolved over millions of years to heal themselves very well, if they are left alone. Pain has evolved as a way of warning us to avoid something. In this case, your body is trying to tell you to stay off your legs for a while. Trust your body.
If you're a creationist, you can just quit reading now. Just go ahead and walk around and pray a lot. You may end up with a ruined knee, but your church friends will be happy to push your wheelchair.
Often, one injury will be so painful that someone does not notice other injuries. It seems likely that you injured both your ankle and your knee at the same time, but you just didn't notice the knee problem earlier because the ankle was hurting more. Now that the ankle is feeling better, you have noticed the knee symptoms.
Get this thoroughly checked out. You may need to wear a knee support for a while. Ask a pharmacy about a knee support device. It should cost about $10-15, and it comes in different sizes. Be sure you get the right size. Too small can be painful, and too big can be useless. Futuro is a popular brand, but there are others.
You may even need to keep off your feet (and knee) for a while to give it a chance to heal. If you keep putting weight on it, you may just make the injury worse. Find some good books, sit back in a recliner, and relax for a few days.
Yes, I agree you do need to visit a medical doctor, and not
via internet. So, make an appointment and good luck.
Did you go to a doctor? You really need to get it Xrayed to make sure you didn't crack a bone! IF you did it will never heal own because of the constant motion when you are walking.
Get Xrayed! Good luck. Pops
Probably a bit of cartilige floating about. Minor op, at worst.
sounds like a bit of arthritis starting sorry about that
Your Dr. should have x-rays done of your foot, its probly coming from where your sprain was, we have many small bones in out feet that connect to our larger bones in out legs, ask for an X-Ray with you standing on your food, having your weight on your foot, usually showing how your weight afects your foot & ankel. You might be 'Favering' your hurt leg & not noticing your doing it., I have popping sounds in my knees, whic will be every day for a few mons, then go away, but I know I have arthris, in my back, now my knees, well cause of having back problems since I was 10, many days I have to crawl so that could be where the arthris started in my kees. But keep on the Drs. back, DON'T let him 'dismiss' you. Good Luck. hugs Pegi
it sounds like a it of cartilage playing up. DO mention it to the doctor however when you go. I don't think it is serious, but something very simple might ease the annoyance of the clicking and you want a reason for it too. Good luck.
