I wake up tired, any hints on changing this?

My husband has the same problem, if you have any other symptoms (aches and pains etc..) it could be a symptom of fybromyalgia.
It could simply be that you are sleeping too much, because you feel tired you sleep and because you are getting too much sleep it is making you tired.
Keep your brain active during the day and get six to eight hours sleep at night, but no more.
If you find that you are still tired all the time you should see a doctor.

Depends how much sleep you are getting. Sometimes sleeping too much makes you more tired than sleeping less. Try sleeping a little less and see if that helps.
I used to get like that until I started sleeping flat on my back every night - it helps open up your airways more and you get a much deeper sleep. Lack of iron in your diet might also be causing your tiredness.
Try a multi-vitamin before bed.
If you are like me .,,if I sleep usually more than 4-6 hours Im no good the rest of the day..
You might wana try a multi vitamin,it seems your body is tired and your mind isn't,so as you sleep your mind is restless and it will tire you as you sleep,so than when you awake your mind tells you ,,you are tired
Are you covered up when you awake,do you show signs of restless sleep..
Do you dream alot..?
You also may be just way 2 stressed out.
Tiredness can be a symptom of many illnesses if this has been happening for over a month I suggest you write a journal of what you eat & drink & I mean everything & the amount of sleep you are getting then go see your doctor you may have a food allergy or it could be a symptom of an underlying medical condition
It may be that you just need more sleep or you may sleep restlessly because of an old mattress. Or it may be a deficiency in iron which can make you really tired and also depression
It could be so many different things causing this. Just a few that it could be: thyroid problem, insulin problem, sleep apnea
Go to your Doctor and tell them every little thing about you that doesn't seem right . Sometimes it adds up to something. The Doctor should have the whole picture. I don't think it's normal to wake up tired. Don't just accept it.
Are you a "mouth breather"?
In other words,do you snore and sleep with your mouth open?
An Ear/Nose/Throat doctor told me that my son who was a mouth breather did not get enough rest when he slept as it the problem with mouth breathers.
Mouth breathers will also tend to "stop" breathing while they sleep which is called sleep apnea.
This cessation of breathing makes the person work harder at breathing during the night thus waking up feeling more tired than they were when they went to bed.
Check with a doctor who specializes in Sleep Studies.
