Is "growling" in sleep bad?

Question:

i was just starting to dream when my cousin woke me up because i made "growling" noises. i don't really know if it was me or just the thunder outside but he said the ""noises" subsided after he woke me up. ( he knocked on my door to ask me what the "noise" is and i answered him grumpily because he ruined my sleep.)
