Why do Dr's leave the room while you change?

Question:
They're going to see you naked anyway.

Answers:
Social obligations!!! They dont want you to be concerned while you undress! As a doctor, when you approach a patient for examination, you are in a total different mood & attitude- there friend, relative, known, unknown- does not count. You are just a patient!!!If the doctor stands there while you undress, a different mood may develope, which will not help in the examination!!!!

Other Answers:
Privacy issues!
To give you privacy and not make you feel comfortable.
coz it looks more seductive
Would you rather they stand there and watch you take off your clothes? At least when they return you have a modicum of modesty with the paper robe.
They don't really see you naked..... you're in a paper gown and they may see bits and piece of you....very different than your whole bod.
Often times they are just giving you privacy. Some people like privacy. It's just a common courtesy though it doesn't make much sense.
probably to pray they won't have to see a naked body!
we dont always see our patients naked only if we do a full body exam or if there is a problem with the sexual organs it also makes the patient feel more confortable
To leave you with that one shred of dignity before they look up your hooha.
they to get a drink before they see my ugly body
courtesy?
Because it is polite.
