I tend to stay up all night at least once a week, and don't sleep till' the next night. How unhealthy is that?

Question:
I know there is something wrong here, because I always get cramps, sometimes unusual pains in my stomach, and other unpleasant things I wouldn't get normally, when I do sleep.
P.S. I'm pretty young, so could that effect anything?

Answers:
It's probably stress keeping you awake. Does insomnia run in your family? My dad is an insomniac & I'm showing tendencies towards the same thing. I'll go for days & only sleep one or two hours at night - then after three or four days of that I'll finally be so exhausted that I crash & burn, sleep for 6-9 hours. You may be
exhibiting a condition that could lead to heart troubles in men. Check with your dr & see what he suggests. Good luck.

Other Answers:
yeah will you don't get enough sleep your body tends to shut down
There probably won't be any bad effects exept being tired the next day.
Ha! Enjoy it while you can. You will get older, and you WON'T be able to do that kind of stuff ever again. I mean it. But for now, live it up.
you body is trying to tell you it needs rest. you should sleep every night. when you sleep your body regenerates so that you have energy for the next day. the cramping and all could also be because you didn't eat anything healthy while you were up all night. and because you are young your body should get at least 8 hours a night. if ppl don't get their R.E.M sleep their bodies do funky things

Yes, after you figure out what is the thing or reason that keeps you up all night. Now if you have some problems that need working out then I would advise you to seek help either from your parents or a close relative the choice is yours. But in order for us to help you there has to be more to the story you just told us.
