Potassium K?

Question:
What is it? I had a bad cough & bronchitis one time and was prescribed Potassium K drops. What is it, & what does it do for Bronchitis and a cough?

Answers:
its a vitamin k that the body needs for clotting of the blood. potassium is needed for the immune system. banana's are high in it. what you had was a infection in your bronchi's. you cough natural to bring up the mucus from it. i get it many times a year and you always get augmentine 875 for it. i never heard of anyone getting the drops for it. it really wouldn't do much of anything for it. its usually given if your eatting habit has for some reson showed in your cbc blood work you had low potassium level.
