What is the best way to ease palpitations as they happen?

Question:
I know the main thing is to not panick but is there anything else?

Answers:
First go and see your GP you nee to know why you are having them and there is a very broad spectrum of reasons for suffering with palpitations. When you are having them if possible sit back, with your head rested, take long slow breaths in through your nose and out through your mouth do this for a minute or so. Then close your eyes, gently apply pressure to the closed eye lids with your fingers and start to add a little more pressure whist still concentrating on your breathing. Hold your eyes closed with your finger whilst applying pressure, not too hard but enough so that you see different colours inside your closed eyes. Do this for up to five minutes, the palpitations should wear off. But you must see your GP, you may very well be suffering from a mild treatable condition. Hope this Helps.
Deep breathes and relaxing. Then see a doctor.
