For physical therapist and physical therapist assistants?

Question:
I will start school to become a physical therapist assistant in the fall, and I am thinking about maybe becoming a physical therapist later on down the line. But can anyone tell me the best body conidtion to be in for these jobs. I am 5'4 (I can't do anything about that if it is better to be taller) but I am a bigger girl (not very overweight but I could loose some for sure). So is it better to be lean of stocky. And what are somethings that you do to keep in shape for your job?

Answers:
I really don't think it matters. It is in the way you handle the patient. My daughter is an occupational therapist and she is 5 ft. 1 in. and weights 104 and she can handle the geriatric patients quite well. I am sure you will be just fine.

Other Answers:
