Water on aeroplanes?

Question:
I hear that as part of the latest security scare, they are now banning people from taking any liquids into an aircraft cabin, with the exception of baby milk.

Is this not terribly bad for people - I was under the impression that one should drink at least twice as much water as usual when in an aeroplane, since cabin air is so dehydrating (and to apply moisturiser hourly)? Certainly I get incredibly thirsty on a plane, and would be seriously uncomfortable without a water bottle - in fact, I simply wouldn't think of going on a long-haul flight without at least one two-litre bottle of water with me, if not two. And extra glasses of, with ice, from the stewardesses whenever they pass.

Wouldn't it be endangering our health to undertake any flight of more than an hour or two without extra water?

Answers:
I don't think you need to worry - the last few flights I have been on the staff had PLENTY of bottled water for everyone.

Other Answers:
You can ask the flight attendant for some water if felt you needed it. No need to bring your own.
It's only the passengers who are banned from carrying liquid on board. The airline is still allowed to supply it.

Given the reason that this has been enforced, I don't think that you not carrying a bottle of water is a huge sacrifice to make.
Remember the reason that you are not allowed to take liquids onto the plane - its for your own safety
