When should I go to a doctor for a sprained ankle?

Question:
I did it two weeks ago. Lots of bruising and swelling and pain. It actually happened at night on my apartment property. I think they are worried I am going t sue them because the lighting is poor and it happened at night. What would you do? The swelling is still there, the bruising is basically gone but I still have pain when twisting it certain ways. Has this happened to you? Didk you go to a doctor?

Answers:
My daughter had same thing, I convinced her to go to the DR. after a month, she had a hair line fracture, they just put her ankle in a brace, but the DR. told her if she would not have come in, it might have broke, go to the DR. ASAP.
Sounds like you need to go to your doctor. It maybe more then just a sprain. It could be broken and needs to be set to heal the right way. Forget what the property people are saying. You need to take care of your self first and then deal with them later. Maybe if you did sue them , or make them take notice, you can save some one else from falling or spraining their body parts..
